Mental Dryland clinics will change the way you approach the most daunting challenges.

In sports we sometimes try to determine how much of the sport is “mental” and how much is “physical”. The truth is that you can’t distinguish the two from each other. When athletes practice and compete, their bodies and minds are always in continuous motion.

At a MentalDryland clinic, you will hear from subject matter experts with real world experience. Our speakers have curated information to help you face some of the toughest situations young athletes face. Everything is designed so that you can take it back into your daily practice, competition and conversations with your coaches to get the best possible experience.

Here’s a preview of who will be speaking at this event:

Chris DeSantis, MAPP - A true expert in positive psychology, Chris was the first athletic coach in the world to get an advanced degree in Positive Psychology. He has coached in the Ivy League and the ACC.  He has spoken at conferences nationally and internationally, most recently the World Aquatic Development Conference and the College Swim Coaches Association national convention.

Chris will speak about psychological concepts that people often think about as unchangeable traits but reveal how they are highly trainable. His presentation will cover Perfectionism, Optimism, Courage and Overthinking.

Glenn Neufeld MA, MSOD- One of the most respected 18/U coaches in the country, Glenn has won championships at the Upper Main Line YMCA and Mercersburg Academy, coached in the SEC and owns a unique academic background in Education and Organizational Development. He also has years of experience as a college counselor and an encyclopedic knowledge of college swimming programs.

Glenn will be available specifically to speak to parents about the college recruitment process.

Dr. Kelly Krevitz, PhD - A clinical and sports psychologist, Dr. Krevitz was an All-American swimmer at Franklin & Marshall and earned her PhD at Bryn Mawr.  She did her post doctoral work at Lehigh University with the Counseling Center and Athletic Department.

Kelly will be speaking Anxiety Awareness and willingness vs willfulness.
